Traveler’s Information Memo
To ensure your journey is safe, seamless, and enjoyable, we have prepared this essential travel guide. Below, you will find the key information required for a well-planned trip.
Before your departure, we strongly recommend checking the latest travel and border restrictions on the official websites of your destination and transit countries. Please adhere to the recommendations of the relevant authorities or consult with a travel advisor.
1. Identification & Visas
- Documents: You must carry a valid passport or a national ID card for all international travel. Please verify whether an ID card is sufficient for your specific destination or if a passport is required.
- Validity: Ensure your documents meet the entry requirements of your destination. Most countries require a passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
- Visas: Always check in advance if a visa is required for your citizenship and destination.
2. Health & Vaccinations
- Review the required or recommended vaccinations for your destination well in advance.
- In some regions, specific vaccinations are mandatory. These must be recorded in an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV), which you must carry with you during your travels.
3. Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing travel medical insurance to cover emergency medical expenses abroad. While insurance does not prevent illness, it provides essential financial protection for:
- Emergency medical care and prescribed medications.
- Transportation to and from medical facilities and medical repatriation.
- Expenses related to returning minor children (under 16) home.
- Additional Coverage: Consider supplementary policies such as trip cancellation, missed connection, and accident insurance. Always review the terms and exclusions to ensure the policy meets your specific needs.
4. Luggage & Customs
- Customs: Ensure your luggage complies with the customs regulations of your destination. The transport of food, tobacco, medication, and alcohol is strictly regulated.
- Carry-on Luggage: Size and weight limits vary by airline.
- Liquids: Must be in containers of 100ml or less, fitting into a single, transparent, resealable 1-liter plastic bag.
- Prohibited: Liquids with an alcohol concentration of 70% or higher are strictly forbidden in both carry-on and checked bags.
- Checked Luggage: Weight and dimension limits are specified on your flight tickets. Note: Do not pack valuables, fragile items (e.g., laptops), original documents, or bank cards in your checked luggage.
